YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A crash in East Rutherford last night sent a pedestrian to the hospital and led to the arrest of the driver, who authorities said was drunk.
More details will follow from the crash, which occurred just before 7:45 p.m. when a vehicle jumped the curb and struck a utility pole on Railroad Avenue between Boiling Springs Avenue and Everett Place.
The injured woman was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center.
Arrested at the scene was Victor Kwak, 22, of Union Avenue in East Rutherford.
Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this morning that Kwak was intoxicated.
