YOU SAW IT HERE FIRST: A Lexus SUV slammed into a utility pole in Ridgewood this afternoon after the driver apparently failed to negotiate a curve.
Air bags prevented any serious injuries in the crash on South Maple Avenue. The vehicle had to be towed on a flatbed.
Ridgewood Officers Paul Dinice and Patrick Elwood investigated and handled traffic control.
South Maple Avenue remained open throughout the incident, but traffic flow was restricted to the southbound lane.
