YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A Bergen County Police Department K9 unit caught one suspect, another was grabbed by officers and a third was being sought in the apparent kidnapping of a man from a Cliffside Park street tonight, sources told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

The victim was beaten and forced into a car with Florida license plates at the corner of Main and Nagle streets, near the border of Fairview, law enforcement authorities confirmed just after 10 p.m., barely a half-hour after the incident.

Fort Lee police issued an emergency broadcast and began chasing the vehicle when it reached their borough.

The three bandits bailed out near Jones Road and were chased toward Leonia, sources told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

A Bergen County K9 unit snatched one suspect and officers found another, they said.

Both were brought to an area hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

Officers from Cliffside Park, Fort Lee and Leonia were joined in the search by Port Authority and Bergen County police, as well as a New Jersey State Police helicopter. Leonia police told residents to remain inside.

“It’s unknown whether he’s armed,” a law enforcement official told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

As of 1 a.m., he remained at large.

Detectives interviewed the victim at an area hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries before being released, the official said.

The silva Acura MDX was being processed for evidence.
