PHOTOS: A 25-year-old driver climbed from of his Toyota Scion FRS after it plunged nose-first off one level of a parking deck onto another at the Sheraton Hotel in Mahwah tonight.
The Madison, NJ computer tech told police he was leaving work at the hotel when his foot slipped and hit the accelerator and the car barreled through the wire guardrails and over the side of the third level around 7:15 p.m.
The airbags deployed and the driver, who had his seatbelt on, climbed out of the car in his suit and tie, Lt. Philip Tangel told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.
Tangel said it’s the third crash he’s known of that type in the hotel garage.
