The Bergen County NAACP is holding a prayer vigil on the county courthouse steps tonight for nine people slain by a gunman during Bible study at a landmark black church in Charleston, SC.
Nine people were killed when a gunman opened fire in the historic Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church last Wednesday.
Authorities captured and charged 21-year-old Dylann Roof with the cold-blooded hate-crime slayings.
The Prayer Vigil for Healing is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. on the steps of the Bergen County Courthouse, 10 Main Street in Hackensack.
