UPDATE: A trailer filled with Gatorade bottles popped from a trailer and fell over a bridge into a ravine above the Ramap River during a crash with a compact car on northbound Route 287 in Oakland tonight.
The driver was hospitalized with minor injuries following the crash just after 8:40 p.m., New Jersey State Police said.
Responders included Oakland, Franklin Lakes and Wyckoff firefighters, NJSP troopers and a Mahwah hazardous materials unit, which assembled containment booms in the river for a diesel spill.
Ringwood and Midland Park firefighters provided mutual aid.
