While media attention in Teaneck on Christmas night focused on a pedestrian killed by a hit-and-run driver, members of the township Volunteer Ambulance Corps were engaged in two other serious calls, as well — one of them fatal.
A crew responding to a 6:22 p.m. call of a 33-year-old man having seizures in a home on Larch Avenue found him in cardiac arrest four minutes later, with a family member conducting CPR, said Larry Robertson, the TVAC public information officer.
Crew members continued CPR until hospital personnel arrived and pronounced him dead, he said.
At 6:35 p.m., another crew went to a Chadwick Road home where an 84-year-old man had “passed out, awakened and was suffering difficulty breathing,” Robertson said. READ MORE….
