Two Wallington police officers getting their morning coffee sustained minor injuries Sunday after a sedan driven by an impaired 64-year-old driver plowed through the front double doors of a 7-Eleven, authorities said.
Police Sgt. Tomasz Kruk and Officer Peter Zagaja were both released from Hackensack University Medical Center — one with a knee injury and cut on his hand and the other with an ankle injury — shortly after the car barreled into the Main Street store at 7:20 a.m., said Anthony Cureton of the the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department.
Robert Devlin, 64, was processed by sheriff’s officers and released on a court summons charging him with assault by auto and DWI, he told Daily Voice. READ MORE….
