An illegal alien from El Salvador on Monday admitted stabbing his Englewood housemate.
Jose Wilbur Hernandez-Cerrito, 24, pleaded guilty in Hackensack to aggravated assault in exchange for a six-year prison sentence — of which he must serve a little over five years — when he is sentenced on March 11.
Hernandez-Cerrito surrendered to police at a bus stop a few blocks down the street from the West Palisade Avenue house where the two lived after he stabbed the then-27-year-old victim in the chest before dawn Aug. 21, 2014. READ MORE….
