A distinctive pair of sneakers led Englewood detectives to a convicted murderer who they said robbed a local liquor store at gunpoint wearing a mask.
Charles “Darrell” Blain entered Wides Liquors on West Englewood Avenue around 9 p.m. this past Saturday and threatened two employees — “actually cocking back the hammer on the revolver,” Detective Capt. Timothy Torell told Daily Voice.
He fled with somewhere between $200-$300.
Detectives developed “excellent video footage that showed the suspect wearing a pair of distinctive Nike Air Blue Mirror Foamposite sneakers and a Northface coat,” Torell said. CLICK HERE FOR VIDEO….
