YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A 44-year-old truck driver from Ridgefield Park is charged with having a sexual relationship with a juvenile beginning when she was 13.
Andrew J. Bates was being held on $200,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with aggravated sexual assault and child endangerment.
The mother of the girl, now 15, notified the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, whose detectives interviewed the teen, Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said early this evening.
She told them that she and Bates, who is single, had sex “on several occasions,” the prosecutor said.
