YOU SAW IT HERE FIRST: A trucker towing a flatbed trailer climbed out on his own after his pickup slammed through the cement railing of the Hackensack River Bridge on Route 46 in Little Ferry this afternoon.
The rig was headed west, towing a Jeep, when the driver apparently lost his power steering.
The Ford careened across the bridge, knocking a 13-foot section to the riverbank below.

The driver for Lennies East Coast Auto Transport of Long Island climbed out and onto metal scaffolding that holds a billboard alongside the bridge.
A heavy wrecker pulled out the pickup.
Traffic was stopped in both directions.
